In the final, defending champions Nigeria prevailed against first-time participants South Africa 🏆🎉
Congratulations also to Buthelezi Aphiwe! The South African was crowned the best player of the tournament and has thus qualified for the 2024 FC Bayern World Squad 🌍👏
Nigeria’s Solomon Moses (top goalkeeper), Saviour Matthias, Muhammed Sodiq Olamide, Bashir Idris joined the best players from the other nations, on the pitch today against the FC Bayern Munich U17s at the Olympiastadion ⚽️

The FC Bayern Youth Cup has been a stepping stone for many football players to launch an international career since its yearly hosting in Nigeria started in 2018. Daniel Francis who was discovered during the 2019 edition of the programme was signed by FC Bayern in a fanfare celebrated by Nigerian football lovers all over the world. Other players spotted from the tournament have gone ahead to join the Nigerian National team in various international competitions including the FIFA world cup qualifiers.
