The management of Northern Nigeria football giants Kano Pillars FC appoint Malam Sharif Zaharadeen Usman Kofar Nasarawa as the Public Relations officer/ Head of Media office of the club.
Malam Sharif replaces Alhaji Lurwanu Idris Malikawa who has spent 13 years in the position to make him the longest serving Media officer of any Nigeria professional football league team.
Alhaji Lurwanu who is also the Dagacin Malikawa Garu is known as an astute professional who has handled the media affairs of the club diligently over the years and is well known in football circles across the country.
Sharif is a former assistant secretary of Nigeria union of journalists ministry of information chapter and currently holds the position of treasurer of same body.
38 year old Sharif attended primary,secondary schools and Tertiary education at Bayero University Kano. Since 2009 when he started work at the state ministry of information he served as a PRO in different ministries and some government agencies as well as some local government areas in Kano state.
Although Sharif will work as a media professional attached to the team what remains to be seen is how he fits into the giant shoes of Malikawa.
