Plateau Utd Charged 1m Naira, Team Manager And Two Players Suspended For Three Matches For Harassing Match Officials
The Jos boys have been charged for breaching #NPFL24 Framework & Rules in the course of their Matchday 15 fixture at Kwara Utd on Thursday, December 21.
Players & officials of Plateau Utd harassed the match officials after the game in Jos, an act of misconduct capable of bringing the game to disrepute as seen in this video.
A fine of N1 million has been imposed on Plateau Utd for misconduct & failure go ensure proper conduct of their players & officials.
Plateau Utd’s Jimmy Ambrose & Charles Henlong have been suspended for the next 3 matchweeks & the club’s team manager Iliya Abel is also suspended for the 3 next matches for his inciting & unsporting conduct.
Plateau Utd have been warned of facing stiffer sanctions if there is a similar recurrence of such conduct.
The club have 48 hours from the date of notice to appeal these sanctions.
