Former APC Youth Leader Aspirant Defects, Joins PDP

Kano – 18th August, 2024

In a surprising turn of events, Bashir Suwaid, a former contestant for the position of National Youth Leader in the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has announced his defection to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at a Press Conference in Kano.

Sule highlights internal discontent and policy disagreements as his primary reasons for leaving the APC.

“My decision to leave the party was born out of disappointment in the internal democracy within the party and the anti-people policies being implemented by the current administration,” Sule stated during his announcement.

As a former aspirant for the National Youth Leader role, Sule’s experience within the APC has led him to believe that the party marginalizes its younger members, preventing them from contributing effectively to its development.

“I have witnessed firsthand how the policies of President Bola Tinubu hurt the ordinary Nigerians, taking them further into poverty and despair,” Sule said as he expressed frustration over the lack of opportunities for young politicians to impact the party’s direction.

Sule’s criticism is particularly directed at the economic policies of President Bola Tinubu’s administration, which he claims have exacerbated poverty and despair among ordinary Nigerians.

In contrast, Sule has expressed confidence in the PDP, citing its inclusivity and engagement as key factors in his decision to switch parties.

Alhaji Atiku Abubakar – 2023 PDP PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE

“In contrast, the PDP has shown me a level of inclusivity and engagement that is solidly lacking in the APC,” he noted. Sule lauded the PDP’s 2023 Presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, for his political experience, leadership qualities, and commitment to addressing Nigeria’s challenges.

“I have confidence in the 2023 Presidential candidate of the PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, his past political experience, strong leadership qualities, and commitment to the leadership and progress of Nigeria make him the best choice of leader to take our country out of its current challenges.”

Sule announced the establishment of a support group named the PDP Jirgin Fito Dahukuma to support his new political affiliation. The group’s mission is to advocate for Abubakar and the PDP while working diligently to promote their message of hope to the Nigerian populace.
